Brother Toaster is a jangly slacker rock outfit from Boston. Despite beginning it's life as a solo studio project for songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sean Galbraith, it's grown into a full blown live rock band. Brother Toaster's fourth and newest record, Chucky, is due out on April 20th and promises to be their most ambitious work to date, with a total of 16 songs that play out over the course of nearly an hour. The songs range thematically from spiritual rebirth to nuclear explosions, and seem to cover a lot of ground in between. The record is not out until next Friday but you can listen in its entirety right here, and you can check the band out (and grab a copy of the record) at their show this Saturday 4/14 at O'Brien's Pub in Allston with Cosmic Vultures, Marianne Toilet and the Runs, and The Purple Planet.
